Athens Restaurant Week Event Planning Intern
Athens Restaurant Week is returning this July! Visit Athens GA, the official tourism marketing organization for Athens-Clarke County, collaborates with participating restaurants to organize and promote this event.
The intern will assist the Visit Athens marketing & communications team with activating this community-wide event, including:
- Recruiting restaurants to participate (at no cost to the restaurant).
- Obtaining restaurant week menus and photo-video assets from participants.
- Ensuring that all information and assets from participating restaurants is accurately and completely reflected in a CRM database for display on the front-facing event website.
- Assisting with development of promotional materials.
- Assisting with social media leading up to and during the event.
- Assisting with media relations to secure coverage of the event.
Seeking a reliable self-starter with great attention to detail and creative flair. This internship is a great opportunity for students interested in event planning and management in addition to marketing and content creation.

$15.85 per hour. Average of 15-20 hours/week leading up to and during Athens Restaurant Week (July 13-19, 2026) and 10 hours/week for the remainder of Summer Semester.
