Position Overview
The Million Dollar Teacher Project (MDTP) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Donor Engagement & Development Intern to support and strengthen our fundraising and community partnership efforts.
This year-long paid internship offers hands-on experience in nonprofit development, donor stewardship, corporate partnership engagement, and fundraising campaign coordination. The selected intern will work closely with organizational leadership to help expand MDTP’s revenue streams and sustain our teacher-focused initiatives across Arizona.
This role is ideal for students pursuing careers in nonprofit management, fundraising, business development, public administration, or community leadership.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with donor outreach and stewardship communications
• Support corporate and community partnership engagement efforts
• Help coordinate fundraising campaigns and donor recognition initiatives
• Maintain and update donor tracking systems and CRM records
• Assist with preparation of funding updates, reports, and impact summaries
• Support research on potential corporate sponsors and funding opportunities
• Contribute to strengthening donor retention and recurring giving strategies
Qualifications
• Reliable Transportation as this is an in-office position
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Interest in fundraising, philanthropy, or nonprofit leadership
• Proficiency in Google Workspace
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

Compensation & Structure
