Summer Camp Staff

Camp O'Bannon is a free, coed, overnight camp that provides children, who could benefit from a positive summer experience, a week of camp, friendship and fun! Our campers come from low income and/or unstable home situations, and are recommended to us from schools and social service agencies in Licking County. 

We provide our staff with competitive pay, room and board and the chance to make a difference in the life of a child. We can work with universities to provide paid internships and field experience for Education, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Recreation majors and more!

The camp season runs from June 8 - August 1.  Staff training begins the first week of June.  The camp season includes 8 1-week sessions. Staff have time off between sessions.

Staff are preferred to be 18 years of age with at least a high school diploma.  Exceptions can be made.

Positions available for the 2026 camp season

CABIN STAFF (eight needed) - oversees a cabin of 10-12 campers (aged 8-13)

Specialty Staff:

ARTS & CRAFTS - leads art activities for our 8-13 yo camp

NATURE - leads hikes, creeking  and other nature based activities for our 8-13 yo camp

FOOD SERVICE - responsible for helping in our kitchen at our 8-13 yo camp

HEALTH SERVICES (must be 21!) - handles the dispensation of meds and provides basic first aid to our campers and staff
