Litigation Paralegal (Training & Growth Role) – Plaintiff-Side Employment & Personal Injury

Arlington, Texas (In-Office)

The Law Office of Lantis G. Roberts, PLLC is a small plaintiff-side litigation firm representing individuals in employment and personal injury matters in Texas State and Federal Courts.

We are seeking an early-career paralegal eager to learn civil litigation and grow into a long-term litigation support role within a small-firm environment.

This position is ideal for a recent graduate or paralegal certificate holder with 0–3 years of litigation experience who is highly organized, communicates well, and wants hands-on experience working directly with a practicing attorney.

This is not a receptionist or clerical role. You will gain practical experience in litigation, drafting, discovery support, case organization, and client communication, with increasing responsibility as you develop proficiency.

Training & Mentorship Opportunity

The selected candidate will receive direct guidance and feedback while learning:

• Drafting pleadings and written discovery
• Litigation deadline and calendar management
• Texas State and Federal e-filing procedures
• Medical and billing record collection and organization
• Deposition and mediation preparation
• Professional client communication in active litigation matters

We are looking for someone who applies feedback quickly, takes initiative, and wants to build real litigation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting pleadings and discovery for attorney review
• Maintain organized litigation files and case materials
• Track deadlines and assist with calendar management
• Assist with e-filing in Texas State and Federal Courts
• Request and organize medical and billing records
• Prepare basic document and deposition summaries
• Communicate professionally with clients regarding case updates

Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate, associate’s degree, or bachelor’s degree preferred
• Strong writing, grammar, and communication skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Comfortable working in a small firm environment
• Interest in plaintiff-side employment and personal injury litigation

The ideal candidate is dependable, proactive, and serious about professional growth.  The ideal candidate is someone who asks thoughtful questions, applies feedback, and takes initiative in completing assigned tasks accurately and on time.

 

Compensation

$16–$19/hour depending on experience and demonstrated skills.
Performance-based pay increases available as proficiency develops.
