Impact and Content Development Intern – Summer 2026

The Impact and Content Development Intern is a temporary position created to support Wespath’s financial well-being educational ministry tools and church property initiative. This internship offers hands on experience with curriculum modernization, content development, strategic research, impact storytelling, and communication for faith communities.

 

Up to three interns will be selected for this program. The interns will not be placed into separate areas of specialization. Instead, they will work together on a shared project while contributing their own individual strengths in areas such as communications, marketing, religion, economics, or education. This team-based structure allows each intern to explore multiple aspects of the work while contributing to one integrated effort.
 

The Impact & Content Development Interns will work in a collaborative team that have the following shared responsibilities: 

  • Research and document existing models and examples of church facilities being redeveloped or redeployed for new ministries or community services beyond typical church building uses for worship and Christian education.
  • Assist with content drafting, editing, and layout suggestions for church property toolkit development.
  • Develop or assist with developing templates for lease or rental agreements, MOUs, financial analysis/ROI concepts and methods, and other documents for churches seeking to rent or lease portions of their facilities to other organizations.
  • Examine existing financial education programs to identify styles, format, and content delivery techniques for consideration in updating the Clergy financial education program to reflect a more modernized approach, with easily accessible components to convey financial concepts and solutions.
  • Develop proposals for additional resources and help Clergy financial leaders or facilitators.
  • Recommend communication and media enhancements. Review existing and new reports and statements from Clergy financial participants and group leaders for updating testimonials and enhancing video and written content delivery. Seek additional testimonials through conversations or interviews with Clergy financial leaders and participants in the program   
  • Conduct background research on faith‑based financial education models.
  • Support project documentation and preparation of materials for internal presentations.
  • Help identify key denominational leaders for entry or update in the organization’s relationship management application (Salesforce).

Requirements:

  • Strong research and writing skills.
  • Majoring in communications, marketing, religion, econ, or education.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. 
  • GPA: Minimum 3.4 (out of 4.0 scale) preferred
  • Rising college senior (graduating May 2027) or graduate student

Work Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days in office, 2 days remote.

Pay: $23 per hour
