The Marketing & Communications Intern is a temporary position that offers hands‑on experience in digital communications, brand storytelling, analytics, and multimedia content creation. Interns will collaborate with the Marketing & Communications team to support digital strategy, campaigns, reporting, and engagement initiatives.
The Marketing & Communications Intern will have the following responsibilities:
- Work on internal and external audience newsletters—research and create article, help with project management, produce engagement analytics reporting
- Conduct market research on benefits and investments industry peers. Share findings with Marketing & Communications leadership
- Audit Wespath materials post-brand refinement to flag potential materials requiring updating
- Develop emails in Act-On platform—learn to partner with design to create emails, send emails, and track analytics
- Partner with media production team on video and/or graphic design projects
- Help create communication campaigns for partner vendors across social media and other communications
- Work with internal business partners and Legal team to experience content review and approval process
- Research themes and create event sponsorship ads that target the unique needs of each sponsorship audience
- Partner with Social Media Manager to research peers and prospective investors’ social media presence/activity
- Capture photos and short video clips at onsite events—provide additional support as needed
- Assist Web Manager with website content audits and basic page analytics support
- Participate on team planning meetings to understand workflows and decision-making processes
Requirements:
- Rising Junior or Senior
- Majoring in marketing, communications, journalism, digital media, or related fields.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Interest in digital media, photography, videography, and analytics.
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Express, or similar tools (preferred but not required).
- Ability to collaborate effectively and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
Work Schedule: Hybrid – 2–3 days in office, 2–3 days remote.
Pay: $22 per hr
