Social Media Management Intern – Smoke Rattle & Roll

Location: University of Michigan-Flint Pavilion and Remote
Type: Part-time Paid Internship

About Us:
Smoke Rattle & Roll is a fast-growing BBQ Fusion eatery known for blending bold flavors with community-focused values. We operate from our UM-Flint Pavilion location and through our mobile food operations, and we’re looking for a creative, driven student to help elevate our social media presence.

Role Overview:
As our Social Media Management Intern, you’ll be the voice behind our brand online. You’ll create engaging content, manage our social media accounts, and help us connect with our community. You'll be responsible for planning and scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and analyzing performance metrics to refine our outreach.

What We’re Looking For:
We want someone who’s passionate about storytelling, food culture, and community engagement. Previous social media experience is a plus, but creativity, a collaborative spirit, and a willingness to learn are just as important.

Key Responsibilities:

Create and schedule posts that highlight our food, events, and community initiatives.

Engage with followers by responding to comments and messages in a timely and friendly manner.

Track and analyze social media metrics to see what’s working and suggest improvements.

Skills & Requirements:

15-20 hours per week commitment.

Strong writing and communication skills.

Familiarity with major social media platforms.

Creativity, a collaborative mindset, and an interest in food culture and community engagement.

Must meet U-M Flint internship requirements (details to be discussed with the selected candidate).

This is a paid internship with compensation to be negotiated.
