Cherokee Creek Farm is a historic farm and event venue in Jonesborough, Tennessee, known for hosting weddings, gatherings, and curated experiences rooted in beauty, hospitality, and place. We are in an exciting growth phase and are developing a new business line focused on experiential offerings, retail, and destination-driven programming.
This internship is a hands-on opportunity to help build, shape, and market something from the ground up.
Position Overview
The Marketing & Sales Intern will work closely with the owners and leadership team to help develop, launch, and promote a new business line at Cherokee Creek Farm. This role blends creative marketing, sales strategy, brand development, and on-the-ground execution.
This is an ideal position for a student or recent graduate interested in marketing, hospitality, events, entrepreneurship, or small business development.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Strategy
- Assist with research, brainstorming, and planning for a new business offering
- Help define target audiences, pricing ideas, and customer experience
- Support launch planning and rollout timelines
Marketing & Brand Support
- Assist with content creation for social media, email marketing, and website updates
- Help develop messaging, visuals, and promotional campaigns
- Photograph or help coordinate content during events or activations
- Track engagement and provide basic performance insights
Sales & Client Engagement
- Assist with lead tracking and customer inquiries
- Help prepare sales materials, proposals, and promotional copy
- Support outreach efforts to potential partners, clients, or collaborators
- Help refine customer-facing communication and follow-up processes
Events & On-Site Support
- Assist during launches, events, or pop-ups tied to the new business line
- Support guest experience and brand presentation on-site
- Help gather feedback and insights from customers
What We’re Looking For
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Creative thinker with attention to detail
- Interest in marketing, branding, hospitality, events, or entrepreneurship
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
- Organized, proactive, and eager to learn
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.) a plus
- Photography, design, or Canva skills a bonus (but not required)

Schedule & Compensation
