Summer Camp Administrator

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in any field or Child Development Associate’s Degree. Must pass background check, drug test and pre-employment physical. Experience with children and/or management preferred.

Availability: MUST BE AVAILABLE MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY! Consistent shift of 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. from June 8th through August 7th (closed week of June 29th). Training can begin any time in Spring 2026. School year employment also available in our ‘26-‘27 Before and After School program, but is not required.

Job Responsibilities: Managing up to 4 staff and supervising up to 45 children entering 1st through 6th grade in camp locations at the City of Kent’s Recreation Center or Kent City Schools. Following and maintaining Ohio Dept. of Children & Youth state childcare licensing regulations for the program, supervising children and staff on field trips within the community, interacting with parents and school faculty, attending bi-weekly staff meetings and CPR/First Aid trainings, adapting to behavioral and educational needs of children, handling conflict management within children, completing lesson plans, etc. Professionalism, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task is a must!

Essential Functions: Actively participate in acts such as arts & crafts, swimming, nature hikes, sports, camp songs, STEAM and outdoor field trips traveling from one location to another. Must be able to complete all physical requirements of job.

Rate of Pay: $14.50-$17.00/hr (based on education and experience)
