Editorial Intern – Girls Soccer Network (Remote)

Pay: $15/hour

Hours: 5 hours/week

Location: Remote

Girls Soccer Network (GSN) is seeking an Editorial Intern who is passionate about women’s soccer and women’s sports. This role is perfect for a student or emerging writer who follows the women’s game closely and wants hands-on experience with a growing sports media brand.

You’ll assist our Managing Editor, write original articles (300–700 words), help edit content, and contribute story ideas across both news and lifestyle coverage — from youth soccer to the USWNT.

Responsibilities

• Write and edit articles about girls’ and women’s soccer
• Pitch creative story ideas
• Assist with editorial planning and content support
• Stay up to date on women’s soccer news and trends

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of women’s soccer and genuine interest in women’s sports
• Writing or editorial experience (student media is great!)
• Strong attention to detail and editing instincts
• Organized, reliable, and comfortable working remotely
• WordPress and Canva experience is a plus, not required

• Shoot or edit video
• Have experience with social media or newsletters
• Follow college soccer and/or youth soccer
• Love coming up with creative content ideas
