Position: Gate House Attendant
Location: Riddle Point Park, Unionville, IN
Salary: $13.50 per hour (Approximately 500-600 hours per year; pay commensurate with experience)
Minimum Age: 18 years
Employment Type: Seasonal (April – October)

The Lake Lemon Conservancy District is seeking a Gate House Attendant to manage customer service and point-of-sale transactions at the Riddle Point Park entrance. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a friendly attitude toward park visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist lake and park visitors with a welcoming demeanor.
• Provide information to the public regarding park regulations and amenities.
• Answer phone calls and take messages as needed.
• Collect lake and park fees efficiently and accurately.
• Issue daily and seasonal boat permits.
• Perform routine park maintenance, including trash collection.
• Maintain cleanliness of the gate house, park restrooms, beach, and shelter house.
• Open the park by 8 AM and close by 8 PM, ensuring patrons exit before closing.
• Assist the manager with lake debris removal and buoy placements.
• Be available for emergency tasks as required.
• Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to operate a multi-key cash register and handle money accurately.
• Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

• Professional, courteous, and positive when interacting with the public.
• Capable of performing well in high-stress situations.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Moderate physical effort, including bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
• Exposure to outdoor elements such as dust, insects, and warm temperatures.

Work Schedule:

• Flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Seasonal position running from April through October.
