Outreach and Training Intern

Job Title: Outreach and Training Intern

Pay: $21-$23/hour

Reports To: Outreach & Training Leadership (Quality and Data Intern)

Position Summary

The Outreach and Training Intern supports recruitment, onboarding, and staff development by learning internal workflows, assisting with interviews, managing applicants through Handshake/applicant portals, and helping create training materials. This is a hands-on role for someone who’s organized, reliable, and interested in workforce development and operations.

 

Responsibilities

Recruitment & Interview Support

  • Support recruiting operations and applicant tracking through Handshake/applicant portals
  • Assist with interview scheduling and candidate communications (as directed)
  • Sit in on interviews to learn evaluation, documentation, and decision workflows

Onboarding & Training Support

  • Shadow new hire onboarding and help maintain training tracking (Excel-based)
  • Organize onboarding documents and training resources
  • Assist with updating training documentation and identifying gaps

Workflow & Operations

  • Learn and document internal workflows (recruitment, onboarding, training)
  • Maintain clean records and ensure follow-through on assigned tasks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with recruiting, HR support, training/onboarding, or student leadership (helpful but not required)
  • Interest in healthcare, human services, or workforce development

  • Exposure to onboarding and training systems/tools
  • Practice creating documentation, training content, and process improvements
  • Real operational experience in a growing healthcare organization
