HOURLY RANGE: $20-25 PER HOUR
HOURS: UP TO 40 hrs (including evenings 5pm-8pm)
STATUS: Part-time position that will transition to Full-time position
REPORTS TO: ETP Manager and BSC Director
POSITION SUMMARY
ICON CDC seeks a dynamic, tech-savvy Marketing/ETP Program Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for marketing and coordinating support for our Entrepreneurial Training Program (ETP) and Business Source Center (BSC) workshops. The ideal candidate is a multitasker with a strong passion for technology and social media, possesses excellent communication skills, and can work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Program/Workshop Assistant
The ETP Program Coordinator will report directly to the ETP Manager and support all of the ETP’s program and workshop efforts. In addition to assisting with various BSC workshops and marketing initiatives, the ETP Program Coordinator will collect and organize data to inform campaign strategies and manage email lists by adding new contacts to Mailchimp, mass texting via Textedly, and engaging attendees on social media platforms. These tasks are integral to enhancing the team's outreach and ensuring seamless communication with our target audience.
Responsibilities:
Live Workshop Facilitation:
- Create and operate Zoom and Facebook applications to set up and manage live workshops for both in-person and virtual attendees.
- Must be available to work from 5-8 p.m. (most workshop are conducted during these times)
- Launch and monitor live sessions, ensuring technical aspects run smoothly, including audio, video, and screen sharing.
- Actively engage with participants by responding to questions and comments in the chat to enhance the workshop experience.
Program Content Development:
Craft program content aligning with ICON CDC's mission, goals, and target audience. Collaborate with the ETP Manager and BSC Director to design content themes, formats, and visuals for community development, empowerment, and education. Create engaging fliers, social media posts/stories, certificates, and ads that complement the content strategy but are not limited to this, including merch and signage.
Coordinate Logistics:
-Assist the ETP manager in the day-to-day logistics of weekly workshops.
-Work with the BSC Director to execute all program content for workshop flyers.
-Upkeep hard-copy content while distributing to various collaborating organizations and govt offices.
-Coordinate with various presenters’ schedules and workshop needs.
-Offer support to ETP presenters before, during, and after workshops.
Content Creation:
- Create high-quality, compelling content, including articles/press releases, blog posts, videos, infographics, and more, designed to inform, engage, and inspire our community.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and team members to gather information and insights for content creation.
Audience Engagement:
- Utilize SEO best practices to optimize program content for search engines and increase organic reach.
- Foster engagement by encouraging discussions, responding to comments, and monitoring social media interactions.
- Follow-up with ETP attendees via email, phone, and in-person inquiries.
- Engage and include various collaborating agencies, public offices, and presenters for BSC/ETP program content.
Brand Consistency:
- Maintain a consistent brand voice, style, and messaging across all content.
- Uphold ICON CDC's brand identity and guidelines in all content pieces.
Performance Analytics:
- Monitor content performance using analytics tools to track key metrics and make data-driven adjustments to the content strategy.
- Regularly report on content effectiveness and suggest improvements based on insights.
- Manage ETP attendance on a weekly basis in addition to upkeep sign-up spreadsheets.
- Monitor, answer, and respond to program emails/calls/communication. Create forms to gather data, such as program surveys for participants.
On-Site Content Creator:
Engage in on-site activities such as attending grand openings, client visits, and conducting interviews with ICON CDC staff and clients. Craft hyper-niche program content that intimately aligns with ICON CDC's mission, effectively showcasing our commitment to community development and empowerment.
Other Duties as Assigned:
Support other organization programs as assigned and/or needed.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Minimum Education/ Experience: Technical/Certification in Information Technology, Marketing, Communications, or related field
- Preferred Education/ Experience: Associate's Degree (AA/AS) in Information Technology, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- A 2-year combination of education and experience is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE and/or SKILLS
- Expertise in using Zoom, Google Suite, and Eventbrite is highly preferred.
- Proven experience in IT support and troubleshooting.
- Fluent in Spanish (required)
- Familiarity with various operating systems, software applications, and computer hardware.
- Basic understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
- Great written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative mindset with an eye for detail and aesthetics
- Proficiency in using social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, etc.) is a plus.
- Basic graphic design skills and experience with tools like Adobe Photoshop or Canva.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage tasks simultaneously.
- Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to new technologies and strategies.
- Perform work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Exercise reliability, responsibility, and dependability and fulfill work obligations.
