Resident Coordinator
KPEP is a community based program providing both residential and non-residential services to male and female offenders. We have facilities in Kalamazoo, Benton Harbor, Battle Creek and Muskegon, Michigan. Full time employees enjoy a generous amount of paid time off, longevity bonus, and 403(b) match. The responsibilities of the Resident Coordinator include but are not limited to:
- Enforce rules of the program
- Monitor behavior of the residents
- Conduct head counts
- Conduct searches of property and surrounding areas
- Breathalyzer (PBT) testing
- Urine screening
- Complete pat down and strip searches
- Computer data entry
- Additional duties as assigned by supervisor
Minimum education and experience: High school diploma or equivalent; 2 years college education in criminal justice or other human services field preferred; experience working with felony offenders preferred; former military. This is a great position for someone interested in gaining experience working with offenders in preparation for a law enforcement career or for someone looking for a long term career in corrections and rehabilitation.
