Business Administration Intern

The Business Administration Intern will work alongside the Business Operations team to ensure a successful 2026 registration season. The Intern will learn how to operate Lou Fusz Athletic's registration platforms and learn LFA’s operations practices. 

The Lou Fusz Athletic Internship Program allows college students to hold a temporary position within LFA, with an emphasis on gathering practical experience working in a professional sports organization.  

Internship Period: May 25th-July 31st (10 weeks) 

Responsibilities

  • In the office 28 hours per week: Monday-Thursday 9:30AM-4:30PM
    • Assist Member Services Lead and Team Administrator with 2026/27 team registration and daily tasks
    • Create communication documents
    • Communicate with LFA members, Coaches, and Age Group Managers
    • Assist Team Administrator with player retention experience planning
    • Assist Tournament, Programming, and Merchandise and Apparel departments as needed
    • Complete and present LFA Internship Final Project to the Administration Team and Managing Director 
  • On Field: varies per week
    • Operations include the following: set up and takedown of team or event equipment, checking in teams, players and coaches, overseeing volunteers, etc. 

Requirements

  • Must be actively pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Sports Management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneDrive.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends as necessary.
  • Access to a laptop to utilize for the duration of the Internship Program.

Physical Requirements

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
  • Reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time in relation to events.
  • Ability to lift, carry and/or drag up to sixty (60) pounds if necessary.
