ECCS Training Coordinator
This position will oversee and coordinate departmental training functions within the Department of Emergency Communications and Citizen Services (ECCS), ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of emergency 9-1-1, non-emergency public safety, and 311 citizen services. This position is also responsible for managing and evaluating ECCS training programs, supervising training personnel, and ensures training standards align with departmental goals, City standards, and best practices.
This position will ensure divisional training operations align with departmental goals through strategic planning, policy implementation, staff development, quality assurance, and collaboration with internal and external partners. In the absence of the ECCS Director and/or Deputy Director, the Coordinator may assume command of the department and may be assigned to oversee other divisions as needed.

Organize, implement, and evaluate training programs across all ECCS divisions.
Supervise training personnel and oversee training schedules and standards.
Develop, review, and maintain training curriculum, lesson plans, and instructional materials.
Track training effectiveness and identify improvement needs.
Ensure training standards are met.
Coordinate initial, remedial, refresher, and recertification training.
Review, interpret, and assist with development of training-related policies and directives.
Collaborate with operational leadership to identify training needs and address performance trends.
Maintain accurate training records, documentation, and reports.
Represent ECCS on City, regional, and state committees related to training or emergency communications.
Provide leadership support during emergency situations, major incidents, or City-wide events.
Provide supervisory oversight for personnel to ensure adherence to laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Provide management oversight of other ECCS divisions as assigned.
