LEGAL ASSISTANT

Gilpin Givhan, PC, is currently seeking an experienced Legal Assistant with experience in commercial real estate and business transactions. Responsibilities will include daily general administrative support for attorneys in the firm’s Commercial Real Estate and Tax practice groups, as well as work on commercial real estate and business transactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Tracking the status of commercial real estate and business transactions, work matters, and communicating and coordinating daily with firm attorneys and personnel to manage and meet critical timelines and client expectations.
  • Daily organizing and managing electronic and physical files, tracking key communications and providing general administrative support in regard to commercial real estate and business transactions matters.
  • Assisting in commercial real estate and business transactions closings, including assisting in preparing closing documents; coordinating closing matters; managing escrow, funds flow and recordings; and timely delivering all closing and post-closing deliveries.
  • Coordinating commercial real estate title orders; assisting in reviewing title, surveys and other title information; and preparing title commitments and title insurance policies.
  • Developing and maintaining proficiency with key technologies, including commercial real estate closing software.
  • Billing time as directed for work on commercial real estate and business transactions and other work matters.
