Associate Account Executive

Your Role in Helping Us Shape the Future

Join a new Strategic Partnerships team as an Associate Account Executive and play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth across our display, programmatic and branded content solutions. You’ll work directly with agencies and clients to build lasting partnerships while supporting our revenue objectives across multiple industries including finance, travel and tech. As part of the Advertising team, this role offers significant growth potential in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your contributions directly impact business success.

 

Are You Up to the Challenge?

Achieve quarterly and annual revenue goals through proactive prospecting, client outreach, and strategic pitching.

Aggressively generate new business through presentations, meetings, and participation in industry events and conferences.

Manage and grow relationships with agencies and direct clients across multiple verticals.

Negotiate and structure deals with agency and client decision-makers.

Communicate effectively around major rankings launches, product updates, and key tentpole moments in the U.S. News editorial calendar.

Develop a deep understanding of the U.S. News brand, audience, advertising solutions, and market differentiators.

Partner with account management, marketing, strategy, and product teams to ensure effective campaign activation and client satisfaction.

Track progress toward sales targets to ensure consistent growth and accountability.

Willingness to travel as business requires.

 

 

Position Requirements

You Should Definitely Have:

Minimum of one (1) years’ of experience in digital advertising sales, media planning, or account management with revenue responsibility or growth objectives.

Strong interest in building a long-term career in digital ad sales.

Familiarity with digital media products including display, programmatic and branded content.

Proven ability to meet or exceed goals through persistence, organization, and follow-up.

Strong communication and presentation skills; confident speaking with clients, prospects, and internal stakeholders.

High energy, enthusiasm, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

Excellent attention to detail and follow-through on deliverables. Demonstrated experience with CRM platforms to effectively track, manage, and optimize client relationships

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

Nice to Have:

Experience working with financial services, technology, and/or travel brands.

Knowledge of the programmatic advertising ecosystem.

Previous experience in a quota-carrying or revenue-generating role.

In New York City, the anticipated base salary for this position is $60,000 - $75,000. This position is eligible for commission. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, interview performance, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job
