Accounting Specialist - Piedmont Resin Supply

Piedmont Resin Supply is a manufacturing company that produces plastic pellets and raw materials used in a wide range of consumer products, including automotive components, office furniture, filtration systems, and lawn and garden applications. The company supports both office and manufacturing operations and depends on accurate, well-organized financial processes to keep daily operations running smoothly.

Piedmont Resin Supply is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join its in-office team in Cartersville. This role supports daily accounting and payroll-related administrative functions and plays a key part in maintaining accurate, timely, and organized financial operations.

 

The Role

The Accounting Specialist will support the day-to-day accounting function with a primary focus on AP/AR and data entry, helping keep transactions accurate, organized, and on time. You’ll also assist with payroll-touching administrative tasks (onboarding paperwork, benefits-related updates, and employee record maintenance) and help with routine accounting processes like reconciliations and basic general ledger support. This is an in-office role in a small, focused team, with training and support available as you ramp up.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions 
  • Assist with routine reconciliations and basic general ledger support
  • Support payroll administration (ADP) and related documentation
  • Assist with benefits enrollment support, onboarding paperwork, and employee records
  • Help with workers’ comp claims, unemployment filings, and wage garnishments
  • Maintain accurate, organized files and records in Sage, Excel, and internal systems
  • Provide light manufacturing accounting support (basic inventory-related entries/data as needed)

Ideal Candidate

  • 1–3+ years of accounting/AP/AR experience or a recent accounting/business degree
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and consistent with follow-through
  • Comfortable working in a quiet, task-focused office 
  • Able to work independently without constant supervision
  • Local or close to the Cartersville area (commute matters)
