Position: Food & Beverage Supervisor
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $16-$17/hour
Bonus plan: Opportunity to earn an end-of-season bonus up to $1,000 based on performance metrics, including year-over-year revenue growth and year-over-year reduction in operating expenses.
Schedule:
May, September, October: Approximately 20 hours per week
June – August: Approximately 40 hours per week

Job Summary
The Food & Beverage Supervisor oversees the daily operation of Akron-Canton Jellystone Park’s on-site concessions stand. This role is responsible for staff leadership, scheduling, inventory and supply management, food safety, cash handling, and operational efficiency. The position balances guest experience with cost control, labor efficiency, and waste reduction, while supporting overall food and beverage revenue growth.
This role requires hands-on leadership, strong organization, and the ability to adjust operations based on business demand, occupancy, and seasonal fluctuations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the park’s concession stand.
- Train, schedule, and manage a seasonal team of approximately 10–15 part-time food and beverage staff members.
- Create and adjust staff schedules to align with business demand, weather, events, and peak periods.
- Ensure adequate staffing coverage while maintaining efficient labor usage.
- Track food, beverage, and supply inventory and place timely, cost-effective orders.
- Monitor product usage and implement strategies to reduce waste and control operating costs.
- Ensure proper cash handling, point-of-sale procedures, and accountability are followed at all times.
- Maintain safe food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness standards in compliance with health regulations and park policies.
- Oversee the rotation and execution of menu specials and seasonal ice cream flavors.
- Collaborate with park leadership to align food and beverage operations with park-wide goals and initiatives.

While this position reports to the General Manager, it requires the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and make operational decisions without constant oversight.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service, concessions, restaurant operations, or a related field.
- Previous management, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Comfortable managing staff schedules, inventory, and labor efficiency.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Ability to remain professional, solution-oriented, and guest-focused in a fast-paced environment.
