Product Marketing Specialist

Product Marketing & Growth Specialist

Location: Paramus, NJ

Reports To: CEO

Key Responsibilities

1. Competitor and Trend Analysis

  • Market Intelligence: Maintain a live map of market activity (competitors, adjacent tools) and user pain points. 
  • Audience Insights: Conduct rapid research to identify which channels (social media, PPC, SEO/GEO, email) and niche communities (Reddit, Discord, etc.) are the best targets for our PLG strategy.

2. Content & Creative Production

  • Own the Calendar: Build and maintain a consistent content engine across social media, blogs, and emails that aligns with our product roadmap.
  • Visual Storytelling: Design high-quality visual assets (graphics, UI screenshots, short videos) using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and/or Figma.
  • Product Marketing: Translate technical updates from the devs into "benefit-first" content that resonates with users.

3. The PLG Funnel & Conversion

  • Website Management: Maintain the website/CMS to ensure the user journey from "Landing Page" to "Purchase" is frictionless.
  • Lead Generation: Create "magnet content" (guides, templates, or toolkits) that attracts our target audience and captures inbound leads.
  • Content Optimization: Optimize all content so Bentoboard is the top recommendation for search and AI agents.

4. Agile Growth & Optimization

  • The "How": Run weekly micro-experiments (A/B testing headlines, social media formats, or ad creative) to identify what actually moves the needle.
  • Data-Driven Reporting: Use lean analytics to track lead flow and conversion rates, reporting directly to the CEO on what we should double down on.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Demonstrated Growth: You must have experience taking a project from zero to one. This can be through job experience, internships, school projects, or a personal side hustle (e.g., a newsletter you grew, a YouTube channel, a Shopify store, or a campus organization you rebranded).
  • Multi-Disciplinary: You can write a blog post in the morning, design an Instagram carousel in the afternoon, and update a website page before you leave.
  • Tech-Savvy: You lean into Gen-AI and modern tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CMS to work 10x faster than a traditional marketer.
  • Communication: Exceptional writing and visual communication skills.
  • Startup Mindset: You are a self-starter who sees a gap and fills it without being asked.
