System Administrator II

Pete's RV Center is a multi-state RV dealer group with ten locations. We are family owed and very team-oriented. Our team is searching for a second System Administrator to compliment the department. This role will work directly with end users both onsite and remotely, as well as vendors. 

This position offers a unique opportunity to travel to our other locations and participate in new dealership installs.

Description

This System Administrator II role is responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of business computer systems, software, servers, and data security systems. The administrator ensures that the internal IT structure remains up to date. Administrators avert possible cyber-attacks for greater productivity as per company policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

A System Administrator must be qualified to complete installation and configuration tasks involving software, hardware, and network systems. They maintain seamless connectivity across company computer, phone, and security surveillance systems. Some travel and weekends are required.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure all business software and hardware.
  • Manage all networks and technology tools.
  • Set up accounts, workstations, and provide desktop support.
  • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements.
  • Manage support requests through Zendesk ticketing system software.
  • Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls.
  • Upgrade systems with new releases and models.
  • Develop methods to regularly train and educate staff in computer skills.
  • Become an expert of our dealer management software (IDS-Astra)
  • Project Support with upgrades, migrations, and deployments
  • Document technical processes, upgrades, and solutions for future reference

Qualifications:

  • Flexible Schedule (including the ability to travel to our other locations and the ability to travel for IT set-up)
  • Excellent Organizational Skills
  • Comfortable Interacting with the Public (staff, customers, and vendors)
  • Advanced Business Computing Skills (Window and Mac OS) including trouble shooting.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage Active Directory
  • Advanced skills with Office 365, SharePoint online, JumpCloud, Fortinet Routers, VOIP Phones, Ubiquiti Equipment
  • SQL/Tableau experience
  • Capable of Completing Light to Moderate Physical Tasks
  • 3+ year experience in Information/Systems Management
  • BS degree in computer science or equivalent experience
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Ability to support the team onsite
  • Ability to travel as needed

  • IT Support: 3 years (Required)
