Customer Operations Specialist

Argali’s mission is to inspire adventure and exploration by making world class backcountry gear. Founded in 2015, Argali is an industry leading backcountry hunting gear and clothing company located in Boise, ID and we are looking for someone to join us as a part of our operations and customer service team. 

We are looking for an organized and motivated customer operations specialist to join our fast-growing company in a versatile role that will help with our customer service and operations. In this dynamic role, the position will be responsible for helping to coordinate daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and managing warehouse tasks. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, good with people and experienced or willing to learn inventory software and database management systems, and wants to be a part of a fun family owned company with people that are passionate about what they do. 

This position is a great way to gain experience and get a foot in the door working in the outdoor and hunting industry. You will gain valuable experience and will work with a small team of dedicated and passionate outdoors people. 

Roles and Responsibilities 

Customer service 

● Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email and in person with professionalism and enthusiasm. Have the ability to learn the in and outs of our backcountry gear and help customers decide what gear works best for their needs 

● Assist customers with order processing, returns, and product inquiries ● Collaborate with team members to resolve customer issues effectively and efficiently ● Be willing to travel on occasion for trade shows and events 

Warehouse Operations 

● Assist with inventory management including receiving, stocking and tracking products ● Support order fulfillment by picking, packing and shipping customer orders accurately and promptly 

● Conduct regular inventory audits to maintain accurate stock levels and minimize discrepancies 

● Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including organization of the warehouse, box assembly, seam sealing tents and other duties as assigned

● Clean and organize warehouse, showroom and office spaces as needed 

Operational Coordination 

● Assist in developing and implementing operational processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness 

● Monitor daily operations to identify areas for improvement and report issues to management 

● Collaborate well with a small team to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction 

● Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies within the warehouse and customer service areas 

● Work as an active team member to complete goals 

Qualifications 

● Associates degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred 

● 2+ years experience working in customer service in some capacity, preferably working in a retail environment 

● 3+ years experience managing increasingly complex tasks in an office, retail or customer facing position 

● Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment in addition to being able to work independently to achieve outcomes 

● Experience with warehouse operations and inventory management systems ● Strong organizational skills with attention to detail 

● Excellent communication, written and interpersonal skills 

● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 

● Experience using warehouse management software systems is a plus ● A good attitude and a desire to learn are a must, and a passion for the outdoors is a strong plus
