$117,000–$146,000 | Hybrid with in person reporting

Help build Minnesota Power’s next generation of energy infrastructure. 

We’re hiring two Enterprise Project Managers to lead large, complex capital projects that advance EnergyForward and our drive toward 100% carbon-free energy.

In this role, you’ll manage a portfolio of enterprise capital projects and own end-to-end delivery using strong project controls. Projects may include high-voltage transmission lines, HVDC systems, solar and wind generation, and energy storage.

This role is ideal for an experienced project manager with a strong background in engineering and construction. 

What You’ll Do

  • Directly supervise a team of project professionals, providing day-to-day leadership, coaching, and performance management to drive safe, on-time, on-budget project delivery.
  • Lead large, complex capital projects from initiation through closeout.
  • Establish and manage scope, schedule, cost, risk, and change control using disciplined project controls.
  • Manage internal and external company resources in areas including technical, financial, safety, environmental and regulatory compliance. 
  • Ensure project execution aligns with safety standards, quality expectations, and applicable environmental/regulatory requirements.
  • Reporting location - These positions may report to one of the following locations which will be determined at the time of hire between the company and the selected candidate: Duluth, MN; Cloquet, MN; Eveleth, MN; Cohasset, MN; Coleraine, MN; or Little Falls, MN.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelors degree and 8 or more years of experience OR
    • Associates degree and 10 or more years of experience
  • Physical project management experience required with a preference for utility, energy, construction, or industrial projects.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Requires high level of interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain positive and productive working relationships.
  • This position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match and/or aptitude.
  • Professional engineering (PE) license, advanced professional degree (MBA), and certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or other relevant Project Management Institute (PMI) certification program is highly desired.

The expected annual compensation range for this position is $117,000 - $146,000. Compensation offered to the selected candidate will vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, training, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, this position qualifies for a comprehensive benefits package, including an Incentive Program, Retirement Benefits, Medical, Dental & Vision Plans, Health Savings Account, Flexible Spending Account, Life Insurance, Disability, Tuition Reimbursement, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences, and more.
