SAT Math Content Reviewer

Math Content & Logic Reviewer

We are looking for a detail-oriented Math Major who is highly proficient in all high school level math courses to help ensure our mathematical content meets the highest standards of accuracy and effectiveness. This is not a tutoring role; you will be working "under the hood" of our platform to refine the logic and quality of our practice materials.

Skills & Qualifications

Subject Matter Mastery: Exceptional proficiency in the math topics covered by the ACT and SAT, including Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Probability/Statistics.

Your core responsibilities will include:

Question Auditing: Systematically review and provide feedback on our bank of math questions to ensure mathematical precision and alignment with official ACT/SAT standards.

Distractor Analysis: Evaluate "answer choice distractors" (the wrong answers). You will assess how "tricky" these choices are and suggest improvements to ensure they reflect common student misconceptions, making the practice more effective and the questions more difficult.

Fixes & Suggestions: Identify errors or ambiguities in math problems and provide clear, corrected versions of the questions.

Explanation Quality Control: Review and improve the quality of our answer explanations. Your goal is to ensure that a student who misses a problem doesn't just see the "how" but understands the "why" through clear, pedagogical logic.

Strategic Input: Provide suggestions on how to better categorize questions so our "automated concept analysis" engine remains the most accurate on the market.

Future Creation of Challenging Math Questions: Write new math questions that are within the scope of the ACT and SAT, but that are very challenging for students preparing for perfect scores.

Why this is a great fit for a Math Major:

Resume Value: You'll gain experience in EdTech Item Development and Curriculum Design, moving beyond basic tutoring into product-side logic.

Remote & Flexible: This role is 100% remote. We offer a flexible schedule of roughly 10–15 hours per week to accommodate your junior-year course load. Work hours are available immediately today; payment is prompt.

Pay: $15/hour.
