Ideastream Public Media, a Cleveland-based media organization and home to Ohio’s largest NPR, PBS, and classical radio stations, serving 22 counties in Northeast Ohio with its trusted, in-depth, high-quality local news and information service, seeks an Associate Producer to join The Ohio Channel team in Columbus. Reporting to the Supervising Producer, the Associate Producer supports the creation of high-quality productions for Ohio’s Supreme Court for broadcast on all Ohio Channel platforms. In this role, you will work closely with producers and court clients on all aspects of production for taped government proceedings and public affairs content for air on The Ohio Channel and the web. Additional responsibilities include assisting with research, videography, editing, and archiving historical, educational, and instructional videos related to Ohio’s judicial system.

 

Qualified candidates will have proficiency with lighting and videography, and demonstrated knowledge of editing techniques using Adobe Creative Cloud applications and the ability to archive footage using a Digital Asset Management System (CatDV or similar). An Associate’s degree and at least one year of experience working in a multiple media content creation environment is preferred, however, equivalent experience in related fields and education will also be considered. Strong organizational, time management, communication, and decision-making skills are also required. The salary range for this position is $43,000 - $47,000 and is commensurate with experience.
