Job Type: Seasonal, Full-Time (40 hours/week)
Start: Training/Prep begins mid-May 2026
Season: June 2026 through Labor Day (Sept 7, 2026)
Location: Wightman Tennis Center – 100 Brown Street, Weston, MA
Wightman Tennis Center is a private, member-owned tennis, swim, and fitness club in Weston, MA. We are hiring a seasonal Café Manager to lead day-to-day café operations during our busy summer season.
This is an ideal role for someone who loves hospitality, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and values creating an exceptional member experience. Customer service and cultural fit matter more to us than anything.
About the Café
Our café serves a fresh, member-favorite summer menu including salads, wraps, sandwiches, grill items, kid’s meals, smoothies, snacks, and beverages (including house-made dressings and marinades).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional hospitality and member service every shift
- Lead the daily café operation (opening/closing, customer flow, cleanliness)
- Supervise café staff and ensure strong culture, teamwork, and accountability
- Oversee food prep, line execution, and safe food handling standards
- Ensure consistent quality, portioning, and presentation
- Manage inventory, ordering, stocking, and vendor deliveries
- Maintain health & safety standards (ServSafe practices, sanitation logs, etc.)
- Communicate daily updates/issues to club management
- Help train staff beginning mid-May 2026
What We’re Looking For
✅ Food service experience required (restaurant, café, catering, club, etc.)
✅ Experience supervising staff strongly preferred
✅ Strong leadership + calm under pressure
✅ Mature, friendly, professional presence with members
✅ Organized, clean, reliable, and detail-oriented
✅ Must be able to work weekends/holidays (including July 4th weekend and Labor Day period)
