As a barista at MOKA, you'll be more than a drink maker. You'll be a smile creator, a day brightener, and a key part of our mission to build genuine connections with every customer who visits us. Whether you're steaming the perfect latte, recommending a delicious blend, or sharing a warm greeting at the window, you'll help make MOKA a welcoming space where great coffee and great people come together.

We are looking for full-time and part-time baristas with flexible availability to work 32-40 hours weekly.  Part-time applicants must be able to work at least 15 hours/week.  MOKA Peace Plaza is located in downtown Rochester, close to the Universities.

Responsibilities:

Craft Custom Beverages: Create handcrafted, high-quality coffee and espresso drinks, focusing on precision and presentation.

Deliver Exceptional Customer Service: Greet every customer with a smile and provide quick, friendly service to ensure a positive experience.

Champion MOKA Culture: Uphold MOKA’s mission, values, and standards in all interactions with customers and team members.

Foster Customer Relationships: Build rapport with both regular customers and newcomers, making each visit a memorable part of their day.

Collaborate with Team Members: Work effectively with colleagues to foster a supportive, efficient work environment.

Stay Informed and Educated: Continuously learn about coffee, our menu items, and best practices to stay knowledgeable and passionate about what we do.

Handle Transactions: Accurately process customer orders and payments to ensure a smooth, efficient service.

Barista's starting wage depends on experience 

$11.50-$12.50 ($14hr - $17hr W/Tips)

Shift Supervisors starting wage depends on experience  

$13.00-$13.50hr ($15.50hr - $17.50hr W/Tips)
