Environmental Science Intern

In the role of Intern Environmental, we'll count on you to:
- Obtain real-world experience in exciting drinking water, wastewater, energy, sustainability, resiliency, and/or
ecological restoration projects
- Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals’
programs
- Apply standard science and engineering techniques and procedures
- Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager
- Perform other duties as needed
- Example Projects:
- Habitat Restoration and Mitigation
- Design concept development
- Permitting and compliance support
- Monitoring and reporting
- Field surveys and bio-benchmarking assessments
- Offshore Wind construction compliance support
- Offshore Wind transmission planning
- Endangered Species Act Permit compliance
- Ecological and Water Quality Monitoring
- Support Nanuet Laboratory projects, including field surveys, laboratory analysis, data analysis, and reporting.
 

Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer 2 years completed toward a degree with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA
- Demonstrated knowledge of software packages
 

Qualifications - External
Required Qualifications - Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate environmental science, biology,
environmental Engineering or related program - Attention to detail - Possess strong problem-solving and communication
skills - Basic Microsoft Office skills - An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned
