2026 IFAC Summer Internship - Member Engagement and Experience

POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a highly motivated undergraduate or graduate student to work with IFAC full-time, for 8 weeks from June 1, 2026, to July 24, 2026. The Intern will work specifically with our Member Engagement and Experience (MEE) team. Our MEE team is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with members, regional bodies, and other key stakeholders around the world. They ensure that IFAC’s Offerings and Experiences are maximizing IFAC’s Member Value Proposition (MVP) for member organizations across the world.
As an intern, you will gain valuable experience working in an international environment and learning from colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities may include:
- Researching and compiling information from professional accountancy organizations and other key stakeholder groups, covering issues and areas impacting the global accountancy profession.
- Updating databases and ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
- Providing support to ongoing projects through research, data analysis, drafting reports, etc.
- Participating in internal team meetings and gaining insight into how relationships both internally and externally are developed and maintained.
- Supporting IFAC in event planning and coordination.
- Supporting IFAC staff on projects and other initiatives to support the department you are assigned to and the global accountancy profession.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Obtaining a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and graduating in 2027 or 2028.
- Knowledge of Accounting, International Relations, and/or Political Science preferred.
- Eagerness to learn about working within a nonprofit, mission-focused environment.
- Excellent research and analysis skills.
- Self-starter with an agile mindset, comfortable navigating ambiguity and communicating progress.
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage projects and work independently.
- Flexible, with the ability to adjust to changing priorities.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and virtual collaboration tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Teams, Zoom), as well as social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn).
- Collaborative team player with a positive attitude, willing to take on projects and ask questions as needed.
This will be a hybrid position with both in-office and at-home work. This is a paid position with an hourly rate of $25-$30 (Primary Location – NYC).
