Conquest Medicaid Services is a growing startup that assists residents of Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) with applying for and obtaining Long-Term Care Medicaid coverage. Our clients are nursing home facilities and their residents. We pride ourselves on accuracy, compliance, and strong relationships with facility teams.
Position Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational performance of the Medicaid application processing team. This role ensures applications are completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with state and federal Medicaid regulations. The Operations Manager will directly supervise a team of application processors, manage workflows, monitor KPIs, and act as the bridge between leadership, staff, and client facilities.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong healthcare knowledge, nursing home experience, and the ability to lead and scale operations in a fast-paced startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of Medicaid application processors
- Conduct onboarding, training, and ongoing performance coaching
- Monitor productivity, quality, and accuracy of work
- Address attendance, workload distribution, and performance issues promptly
- Foster accountability, professionalism, and collaboration within the team
- Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase efficiency
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as application volume, turnaround time, approval rates, and denials
- Generate internal reports for leadership and operational review
- Ensure high service levels and professional communication with client facilities
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of related healthcare operations
- Prior experience supervising or managing a team
- Strong understanding of Long-Term Care Medicaid eligibility and application processes
- Experience working with nursing home software systems such as PointClickCare, Sigma, or eligibility verification systems
- Proficiency with CRM or case management systems
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and make operational decisions
Preferred
- Startup or high-growth environment experience
- Knowledge of Medicaid systems and processes
