Business Development Internship

POSITION TITLE:                            Business Development Internship

DEPARTMENT:                               Sales Team

REPORTS TO:                                 Director of Sales

 

General Summary

Work with New Business Development team, Managers and Team leads to understand business, what our target niche is, how the Placement process works from start to finish, and supply daily lists of qualified leads. Goal of this position is to take away aspects of the Sales process from the Sales team, so they can spend their time focusing on other aspects of sales process. 

 

STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE

Activity Requirements

  1. Dedicate 16 hours a week creating sales lead source lists for outside sales team for all niches.  Minimum of 50
  2. Identify key contacts for all job openings for clerical roles within a given territory -Minimum 50 per day
  3. Make outbound phone calls to get leads and set sales appointments up to go on. Set up at least 1-2 weekly sales appointments -After first week
  4. Prepare the sales team for upcoming networking, sales appointments, and events that they are attending
  5. Assist in writing client proposals
  6. Complete weekly stats by end of day Friday
  7. Follow key prospects on social media and set Google alerts for them

 

Job Requirements

  1. Post job net ads, search internet/LinkedIn for prospects
  2. Complete all documentation needed
  3. Prepare planning for daily activities, and complete any reports required
  4. Active in the community for networking and creating Hatch brand awareness 
  5. Conduct industry research quarterly to better understand the business market
  6. Uses good business judgment
  7. Constantly seeks to learn new sales skills and techniques; works closely with Manager to bring these skills to next level
  8. Takes risks, promotes key values, produce results expected
  9. Other duties as assigned
  10. Follow Hatch Fundamentals daily

Education and Requirements

Attending College and interested in sales career. Some experience in sales and/or business
