Campbell Lutyens runs an internship program across three core teams: Secondaries, GP Capital Advisory (GPCA), and Fundraising (GPRM). Candidates may apply to only one stream. Please read below to learn more about Campbell Lutyens and the available tracks.

CL’s primaries team specializes in global fund placement – raising capital for private market GP clients across a variety of infrastructure, private equity, and private credit strategies. The team provides advisory and execution services specifically tailored to each GP’s needs across all stages of their fundraise, from pre-marketing to final close.

The primaries team works collaboratively with CL’s in-house LP relationship management (LPRM) team to pitch our clients’ funds to prospective institutional investors across the globe. These investors include pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, asset managers, financial institutions, and family offices.

The primaries team is in continuous communication with the LPRM team to form targeted lists of investors to pitch our clients’ funds to, with the preliminary goal of organizing and hosting informational meetings between GPs and LPs. The LPRM team gathers feedback after GP-LP meetings on what aspects of a fund are attractive vs. unattractive to an LP’s portfolio goals. Our primaries team then becomes very involved in LP due diligence processes, advising our GP clients on how to best answer a wide range of manager- and fund-level questions.

Our LPRM team’s relationships are critical not only to placing our funds with interested investors but also to developing our ongoing expertise of industry-wide private investment trends. This expertise allows the primaries team to provide key points of advice to our clients, specific to each of their prospective investors, and to help them respond quickly to market developments. This includes strategizing with our clients on how to best position their fund vs. the funds of their peers competing for capital in the market.
