Operations Supervisor
Job Overview:
A leading life science manufacturer is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee production in our injection blow molding facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising production and maintenance activities, achieving plan performance objectives, ensuring quality standards are met, all while creating a work environment that promotes continuous improvement and teamwork through effective team leadership.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Oversee the daily operations and long-term strategic plans of the manufacturing department, focusing on maximizing productivity and efficiency to increase overall company profitability
- Ensure production schedules are met by working closely with Quality Control, Customer Service, Supply Chain and Logistics, Manufacturing, and Sales departments
- Develop operations-related plans, budgets, and policies and procedures
- Direct material functions such as purchasing and shipping/receiving activities
- Define goals, improve technologies, and resolve problems in conjunction with managers of other departments
- Supervise, lead, and evaluate production staff, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring efficient operations
- Ensure compliance with safety policies, GMP regulations, and other applicable standards in the production facility
- Manage facility maintenance and inventory control
Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree or equivalent in related field
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, logistics, planning, operations, employee management, and resource management, ideally in plastic manufacturing industries
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, and presentation skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay Range: $67,000-$75,000/year
