Content Marketing Specialist

Location:  Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid - in office Tuesdays and Thursdays)

Vertical Insure is a leading embedded insurance platform built for vertical SaaS platforms. We help software platforms offer customized insurance solutions to each business and its customers by creating new revenue streams and value without added complexity.

 

We’re looking for a Content Marketing Specialist to help shape how Vertical Insure shows up in the market. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves writing and enjoys creating content end to end. Writing is the foundation of this role, with an additional opportunity for creating simple visual assets that support and extend that writing. 

 

Our Minneapolis office operates on a hybrid model, with in-office collaboration on Tuesdays and Thursdays. At this time, we’re only considering local candidates. 


 

Why This Role Matters

As our Content Marketing Specialist, you’ll create high-quality content used across the customer journey, from thought leadership and education to assets that support sales and partnerships. You’ll work closely with growth marketing, partner marketing, product, and sales to turn ideas into clear, useful content that reflects our brand and supports business goals.

 

This is a writing-first role, but the ideal candidate will also have the skills to create basic, on-brand visuals in Canva, Figma, Adobe, or a similar tool. You’ll also have opportunities to build skills in SEO, content optimization, and emerging GEO/AEO best practices as part of a collaborative marketing team.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Create compelling written content: Write blog posts, articles, guides, case studies, and landing pages focused on vertical SaaS and embedded insurance.
  • Support writing with visuals: Create simple, on-brand graphics and assets (blog thumbnails, one-pagers, slides, campaign assets) that complement your written work. 
  • Support marketing campaigns: Collaborate with the marketing team to adapt content for emails, ads, and ABM efforts.
  • Improve content discoverability: Apply SEO best practices and learn how content is discovered through AI-driven search and answer engines (GEO/AEO).
  • Repurpose content thoughtfully: Turn core pieces of content into multiple formats across web, email, social, and sales enablement.
  • Publish with guidance: Learn how to publish and update content in WordPress, with training and support from the team.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with growth marketing, partner marketing, product, sale, and the customer team to bring ideas to life. 


 

Who You Are

  • 2-4 years of experience creating content, ideally for B2B SaaS companies.
  • Strong long-form writing and editing skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
  • Basic experience creating visual assets to support marketing content.
  • Copywriting experience for campaigns, emails, and conversion-focused assets.
  • Working knowledge of SEO fundamentals.
  • Interest in learning GEO/AEO and how content performs in AI-driven search environments.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with in-person collaboration.

 

Experience That Goes the Extra Mile

  • Graphic design experience using Canva, Adobe, Figma, or similar tools
  • Experience managing or publishing content in WordPress
  • Familiarity with HubSpot or other marketing automation tools
  • Experience in fintech, insurance, or vertical SaaS industries

 

What We Offer:

The estimated base salary for this role is: $65,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, life insurance, flexible PTO, 401(k), and more.
