Job Description
THE MAGIC OF ROB LAKE: LIVE FROM BROADWAY is seeking an organized, reliable, and detail-oriented Assistant Stage Manager for upcoming 2026 touring and special engagements.
This role supports the Stage Manager in maintaining the daily operation, safety, and consistency of a large-scale theatrical magic production. The ASM plays a key role in backstage coordination, cue execution, and performer support.
This is an excellent opportunity for emerging stage managers seeking professional touring experience.
Responsibilities
Assist with calling, tracking, and executing show cues
Maintain backstage organization and traffic flow
Coordinate performer and crew movement
Support rehearsals, load-ins, and technical rehearsals
Maintain show documentation and prompt books
Assist with safety protocols and compliance
Communicate clearly with performers, crew, and management
Qualifications
Training or experience in stage management or technical theatre
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Attention to detail and reliability
Touring or large-production experience preferred
Proficiency with show paperwork and scheduling tools
Tour & Travel
Domestic and international touring
Extended engagements and residency opportunities possible
Travel, housing, and per diem provided for touring work
Compensation
Compensation is based on experience and engagement type and may be structured as a day rate, weekly guarantee, or hourly rate.
Paid rehearsals and performances.
