Business Development Intern - Shelf Stable & Seafood

Gellert Global Group consists of many of the leading North American food importing companies (Atalanta Corporation, Camerican International, Finica, Tipico Cheese Products) and has been importing food products for over 100 years. The combined revenues of GGG exceed $1.7 billion. GGG companies provide strength in sourcing, insurance, finance, logistics, food safety, and information technology, and supply the needs of retailers, distributors, food service chains, hotels, cruise lines, and food manufacturers alike.

The intern program is a 10-week program. Interns are expected to work on-site M - Th, 32 hours per week. Salary will be $20/hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Market Research and Analysis - Conduct in-depth research to identify emerging trends, potential clients, and new business opportunities int eh food import sector
  • Sales & Revenue Support - Assist in preparing sales presentations, proposals, and promotional materials. Support lead generation through online research and networking events
  • Product Management - Participate in product development discussions and assist with coordinator of product launches and promotions
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with procurement, logistics, and finance teams to ensure smooth execution of projects
  • Additional Support - Maintain and update internal databases, assist with reporting and KPI tracking, and provide administrative support for business development projects.
  • Marketing Strategy Development - Collaborate with marketing and BD teams to create and implement marketing strategies aligned with company goals. Execute digital and traditional campaigns to enhance brand visibility
  • Client Engagement - Prospect potential clients, provide product information, and address inquiries to generate new business
  • Data Analysis - Analyze marketing and sales data to identify patterns, opportunities and areas for improvement
  • Product Information Management - Update and manage product information systems to support sales and BD initiatives
  • Additional Support - Assist with social media content creation, event planning (including SFFS), and coordination of marketing collateral.
