Community Engagement Intern

The Community Engagement Intern will work closely with the Director of Community Engagement to ensure smooth and successful operation of PIN’s communications, development, marketing, and fundraising efforts. This is an essential role which will work closely with donor and client data to market volunteer and donation opportunities, as well as opportunities to utilize PIN’s various services. This internship position is a 10-week assignment from May 26 - July 31.
Main Responsibilities and Duties:
- Community Engagement
- Create social media content and track engagement analytics, including photos, videos and graphics
- Participate in community engagement opportunities and activities throughout Delaware County, including street fairs, festivals, and family-friendly events
- Generate positive media coverage throughout central Ohio
- Development
- Assist in the creation and review of grant proposals
- Solicit opportunities for individuals and local businesses to make cash or in-kind donations to PIN to support our mission
- Manage database and confidential donor information
- Operations
- Support event planning for fall fundraiser, including solicitation of silent auction items and sponsorships
- Demonstrate outstanding support and commitment to PIN, our programs, and the neighbors we serve in the community
- Assist with Produce Markets and other special events as needed
Time and Location
- 20 hours per week
- Flexible location based at PIN’s warehouse and community events. A schedule can be created to accommodate your needs
Desired Qualifications
- Currently or will be pursuing a related degree at an institution of higher education
- Familiarity or desire to work with or volunteer for a non-profit organization

Pay: $12 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Evenings as needed
- Weekends as needed
