Job Summary
The Associate Billing Analyst provides indirect support to Safety’s customers, the independent insurance agents and their insureds, and provides direct support to the Premium Accounting team related to payments and bill accounts
Responsibilities:
- Handles a large volume of calls by routing to the appropriate department
- Practices effective listening skills, patience, and empathy to provide the best possible service experience to our callers
- Provides accurate information and assists customers with general inquiries regarding billing and payment matters
- Documents a summary of all billing related inquiries in the company's billing system
- Performs basic maintenance to bill accounts as identified through reports or when communicating with insureds, agents, or Safety's internal staff
- Recognizes when a call needs to be escalated and adheres to the established procedures when transferring callers to the appropriate billing team member
- Perform other duties and/or projects as needed or required.
Qualifications:
- College degree preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
- Interest in learning about billing, payments, and insurance
- Reliable and a proven hard worker
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus
