Property Management Intern
The Douglaston Companies Summer Internship Program is an 8-week immersive experience where you’ll work on meaningful projects, develop in-demand skills, and connect with professionals shaping the future of NYC multifamily housing. As a property management intern, you’ll be hired into one of our core business functions and contribute directly to the work of that team.
While your day-to-day role will focus on your assigned area, our curated programming will provide insight into all areas of our business, helping you understand the bigger picture of how we lead the industry.
Your internship experience will be enriched through:

- Site visits to active projects and communities
- Community Outreach and Corporate Social Responsibility opportunities
- Team building activities with the summer intern cohort
The TDC Internship program will run from June 15, 2026 – August 7, 2026.
Requirements:
- Answering phones
- Creating and maintaining resident files
- Creating and maintaining work orders for the property
- Liaison between residents, maintenance staff, vendors, and management
- Administrative support to Property Manager and Resident Manager
- Coordinating move ins, move outs and tenant files with main office
- Other tasks and special projects as required by management
Qualifications:
- Actively pursuing degree in related field (management, business administration, real estate), or combination of education and experience required
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (word, excel and outlook)
- Ability to work on and complete multiple projects in a timely matter
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal
- Self-starter who is able to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability work in a collaborative environment with short deadlines
- Ability to communicate in Spanish is preferred
