Digital Marketing & Graphic Design Intern

Organization: WESTMARC
Reports To: Marketing & Events Manager

Position Summary

The Digital Marketing & Graphic Design Intern will support WESTMARC’s brand, events, and community engagement initiatives. This role assists in developing creative digital and print content, supporting social media activities, and contributing to the marketing efforts that promote WESTMARC and WESTMARC Foundation programs across the West Valley.

This is a hands‑on internship ideal for students looking to build real‑world experience in digital marketing, design, content creation, and event marketing.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Marketing & Social Media

  • Support implementation of WESTMARC’s overall marketing and branding strategy.
  • Assist in creating social media posts, graphics, short videos, and other digital content.
  • Help maintain WESTMARC’s social media profiles, including scheduling posts, writing captions, tagging partners, and monitoring engagement.
  • Contribute to basic analytics tracking and reporting.
  • Assist with website updates and identify opportunities for improvements.

Graphic Design & Content Creation

  • Design marketing materials for events, newsletters, and digital campaigns.
  • Support creation of promotional videos, event highlight reels, and other visual content.
  • Assist in updating WESTMARC website and supporting rebranding initiatives.
  • Assist with creation of templates for events and programs

Event Marketing Support

  • Help produce event marketing collateral such as sponsor packets, programs, signage, and digital assets.
  • Assist with event preparation, setup needs, and post‑event follow‑up materials.
  • Support marketing tasks for WESTMARC’s signature events, including:
    • Annual Meeting
    • Economic Summit
    • Legislative Breakfast
    • Healthcare Summit
    • Best of the West Awards Dinner
    • Business Technology Summit
    • Top Golf Partee
    • Annual Golf Tournament
    • Webinars, member events, and community meetings

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Coursework or experience in digital marketing, graphic design, communications, or a related field.
  • Basic proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro) or similar design tools.
  • Video editing experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with project‑management tools (ASANA, Trello, etc.) is helpful.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high‑quality work.
  • Creative thinker with a willingness to learn and try new approaches.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
