Operations Intern | Premier Guest & Hospitality Experience
Our internship program at Experience Vacation Rentals offers a rare opportunity to gain hands-on, real-world experience inside a quickly growing vacation rental management company, while living and working at the beach all summer. Interns are trusted with meaningful responsibilities, mentored by a high-performing team, and surrounded by a young, energetic culture alongside other interns. As we enter our 6th summer running this program, we’ve built an internship experience that develops practical skills in operations, communication, and problem-solving while giving motivated candidates a memorable summer, professional growth, and a strong foundation for future career opportunities.
What You Will Learn:
As an Operations Focused intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the systems and processes that keep a high-performing vacation rental business running smoothly. Throughout the summer, you will develop practical skills in:
- Vacation Rental Operations & Logistics: learn how daily operations are coordinated across multiple properties, including turnovers, inspections, maintenance scheduling, and readiness checks.
- Quality Control & Property Standards: gain experience conducting property inspections, identifying issues, and ensuring homes meet established quality and guest-readiness standards.
- Maintenance & Vendor Coordination: understand how maintenance teams and vendors are scheduled, managed, and followed up with to protect both guest experience and property value.
- Operational Communication & Team Coordination: learn how clear, timely communication between operations, cleaning, and maintenance teams ensures seamless execution.
- Systems, Organization & Process Improvement: work within property management systems and operational workflows while learning how scalable processes support growth and consistency.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Property Operations & Coordination:
- Support day-to-day vacation rental operations across multiple properties.
- Assist with coordinating cleanings, inspections, and maintenance schedules.
- Ensure properties are guest-ready before arrivals and properly reset after departures.
- Help track operational tasks to ensure timelines and standards are met.
- Assist with seasonal preparations (turnovers, readiness checks, and property upkeep).
Inspections & Quality Control:
- Assist with property inspections before and after guest stays in The Grand at Diamond Beach & The Sandcastle Condominiums.
- Identify and report maintenance issues, cleanliness concerns, or missing items.
- Help ensure all properties meet Experience Vacation Rentals’ quality standards.
- Document findings clearly and communicate with internal teams as needed.
Maintenance & Vendor Coordination:
- Support communication with maintenance teams and vendors.
- Assist with scheduling repairs and follow-up tasks.
- Help track work orders and confirm completion.
- Learn how proactive maintenance protects both guest experience and property value.
Operational Communication:
- Communicate clearly with internal departments to ensure seamless execution.
- Support coordination with cleaning, maintenance, and operations team.
- Use our systems to update task status and operational notes accurately
Process Improvement & Organization:
- Assist in documenting operational workflows and procedures.
- Help identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements.
- Learn how scalable systems support growth in vacation rental management.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum of 1.5 semesters in college.
- Interest in operations, hospitality, real estate, or business
- Prior operations, logistics, or service experience is a plus
Skills:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive mindset.
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in property management systems, booking software, and/or basic office tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Drive, CRM software).

Hours per Week:
- Approximately 45 Hours Per Week in Wildwood Crest Office.
- Approximately 50 Hours Per Week Total.
- In office Tuesday through Saturday from Mid-May to End of August.
