The Italian Place is a fast-casual Italian market specializing in fresh italian subs, pizza, pasta, coffee, dinners-to-go, gift boxes, wine and gourmet Italian items. The role of the candidate is to assist in all operations, including exceptional customer service, staff oversight and leadership, strengthening internal programs and processes that are already in place such as operations management, social media campaigns, and the development of special campaigns.
Requirements: Candidates savvy in management with strong communication and organizational skills, creative thinking, research and some administrative skills.
Opportunities range from 30-40 hours per week.
Tasks to include, but not limited to the following:
- Operations management and development for existing location & future locations in the DC metro area
- Managing staff & scheduling
- Updating various online delivery platforms with updated content, menu design & photographs
- Assessing, developing and updating current digital media campaigns
- Meeting and communicating with vendors about inventory & ordering process
- Updating internal management programs & processes
- Updating and controlling inventory
- Helping with day-to-day operations
- Assisting with employee training and management
- Organizing wine inventory and tracking of wine inventory and vendor schedule in point of sale system and google drive database
- Assisting with catering orders, menu changes and updates
- Contacting suppliers & food vendors for various unique orders, price-matching
- Answering emails and phone calls on a regular basis
- Effective communication with customers via email and phone calls
