Fortuna Advisors Associate Job Description:
Associates actively contribute to all phases of client engagements and will be primarily responsible for financial, strategic and organizational analysis. Associates will conduct analysis, interpret results, develop insights and actions, and prepare documents to convey results for clients. Must be based and authorized to work in the US.
Desired Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or advanced degree
- Ability to work proactively and independently in a remote environment; ability to take ownership of workstreams
- Fluency in core financial concepts, accounting principles and approaches to valuation
- Comfort with analytical problem-solving, including development and testing of hypotheses
- Substantial experience building Excel and other models for a range of different financial or strategic analyses – e.g., valuation, cash flow projections, M&A, market sizing and entry, innovation / new product development
- Ability to effectively communicate complex financial or strategic topics orally and in writing
- Proficiency in PowerPoint or other media for communicating results and insights
- Experience with data analysis or data visualization tools is a plus – e.g., R, Python, Power BI, Tableau
- Passion for self-development and genuine interest in contributing to thought leadership
- Experience with or knowledge of economic or cash-based approaches to valuation (e.g., EVA, EP, CFROI) is a plus
