Computer Vision Research Intern 

About the Role
At AvaWatz, we are building trusted AI systems for high-stakes applications in security, defense, and logistics. As a Machine Learning Intern, you will work closely with our scientists and engineers on projects involving data curation, robust model training, explainability, and multi-modal deep learning. This internship offers hands-on experience developing and deploying computer vision models in 2D and 3D image data, like CT, mm-wave radar, and lidar data, and 2D image and video. The required skills include training 2D and 3D object detection and segmentation models in PyTorch and similar tools. 

Minimum Requirements

Degree: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Python programming.

Experience with PyTorch (preferred) or TensorFlow for deep learning.

Familiarity with libraries such as NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, Matplotlib.

Understanding of ML and CV fundamentals: supervised/unsupervised learning, deep neural networks, optimization, object detection.

Experience in Computer Vision and Video Analytics required

Other Skills: Strong problem-solving ability, eagerness to learn, and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Experience: Coursework, academic projects, or personal projects in ML/AI/CV (industry experience not required).
