Science Teacher
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable High School Science Teacher to instruct students in grades 9–12. The teacher will deliver engaging, standards-aligned science instruction that fosters critical thinking, scientific inquiry, and academic growth. The ideal candidate is passionate about science education and committed to supporting diverse learners.
Responsibilities
Teach high school science courses such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and/or Earth Science
Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state and district curriculum standards
Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
Design and administer assessments, labs, projects, and exams to evaluate student learning
Provide timely feedback and support to promote student progress
Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and guardians
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance
Participate in professional development and school activities as required
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
Valid state teaching certification or licensure in Science (or eligibility to obtain)
Strong knowledge of high school science curriculum and instructional best practices
Ability to engage and motivate high school students
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching AP or honors-level science courses
Experience conducting hands-on labs and inquiry-based learning
Familiarity with educational technology and learning management systems
