About the Role
At AvaWatz, we are building trusted AI systems for high-stakes applications in security, defense, and logistics. As a Machine Learning Intern, you will work closely with our scientists and engineers on projects involving data curation, robust model training, explainability, and multi-modal deep learning. This internship offers hands-on experience developing and deploying ML models while contributing to real-world, mission-critical applications.
Minimum Requirements
Degree: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Python programming.
Experience with PyTorch (preferred) or TensorFlow for deep learning.
Familiarity with libraries such as NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, and Matplotlib.
Understanding of ML fundamentals: supervised/unsupervised learning, neural networks, optimization.
Basics of Computer Vision and Video Analytics is a plus
Other Skills: Strong problem-solving ability, eagerness to learn, and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Experience: Coursework, academic projects, or personal projects in ML/AI (industry experience not required).
