Kayak Rental Staff

Third Coast Paddling is hiring Kayak & Paddleboard Rental Staff at our waterfront locations in New Buffalo, St. Joseph / Benton Harbor, and Saugatuck / Douglas.

 

Rental staff are the first point of contact for our guests and play a key role in creating a friendly, safe, and well-organized experience on the water.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests and provide efficient, friendly check-in
  • Process rentals and sales
  • Explain safety guidelines and basic paddling information
  • Assist with life jackets, equipment, launching, and landing
  • Prepare and maintain kayaks, paddleboards, and launch site

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years old 
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Enjoys outdoor, physical work (lifting kayaks up to 79 lbs.)
  • Weekend availability during peak season
  • Reliable transportation
  • CPR / First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
