Position:
Candidates must demonstrate a strong interest in the financial markets and a clear motivation to build a career in the industry. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented recent graduate or MBA for to join as a Sales and Trading Team as a Jr. Sales and Trading Assistant. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role, offering direct exposure to trading strategies, market data analysis and client interaction, while providing support to experienced traders and sales professionals. Sponsorship for the Series 7 License will be provided after a 3-month period.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist senior traders and sales team with day-to-day execution and client servicing tasks.
- Monitor market activity and news flow to support trading decisions.
- Coordinate trade execution and ensure compliance with internal risk and regulatory protocols.
- Reconcile trade breaks and resolve operational issues with back-office teams.
- Use trading platforms and data tools (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, Excel) to analyze markets and generate reports.
- Generate and interpret TCA and other client-requested reports, by answering Ad-hoc client statistical analysis requirements and providing in-depth responses e.g. past performance reports; hands-on across large-scale data analysis.
- Collaborate between Research and Developments teams, some expertise with Tick Data is a strong advantage.
- Manipulate large-scale datasets and produce clear, insightful reporting for both internal and external clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or MBA in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or related field (recent grad or graduated within 12-24 months).
- Demonstrated interest in financial markets (internships, courses, certifications a plus).
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and time management.
- Good computing skills. Proficiency in SQL and Python required.
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Bloomberg/Reuters is a plus.
