Weekly Schedule: Sunday 12:00 PM – Saturday 12:00 PM

About the Internship

Woodruff Scout Camp is seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Marketing Intern to help share the story of one of Scouting America’s premier summer camp experiences. This internship is ideal for students majoring in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or especially those concentrating in Social Media Strategy and Content Creation.

Key Responsibilities


 

Brand Compliance

• Adhere to the Woodruff Scout Camp Brand Guide

• Maintain alignment with Scouting America brand standards

• Ensure all content reflects Woodruff’s values, image, and messaging


 

Digital Content Creation

• Daily Facebook/Instagram posts during Staff Week and Weeks 1–7

• Bi-weekly TikTok posts

• 1–2 Reels per week for Facebook/Instagram

• Highlight daily camp activities, staff culture, and program features

• Collect and curate content from program staff

• Create trending content that aligns with approved brand styles


 

Photography & Video Management

• Capture high-quality content throughout camp

• Organize and maintain a content library for current and future use

• Support Chief of Staff with Staff Yearbook photo collection

• Prioritize close-up action shots of Scouts in activities


 

Long-Term Content Strategy

• Build a year-round content plan 

• Prepare Daily Facebook/Instagram posts

• Develop content for national observances and holidays

• Ensure a balanced mix of photos, videos, reels, and graphics


 

Collaboration & Engagement

• Engage campers and staff for collaborative content

• Work closely with the Camp Director, Chief of Staff, Social Media Manager, and News Team

• Increase engagement across TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook

• Coordinate approvals and maintain consistent messaging


 

Who Should Apply

Ideal candidates:

• Are majoring in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Social Media Strategy, or related fields

• Have interest or experience in creating content for TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook

• Understand visual branding, tone, and consistency

• Are organized, creative, and self-directed

• Are able to live on-site for the entire internship period

• Want to build a robust, professional content portfolio
